THE CLUB
Founded 1932. At Park Lane since 1955. Still a members club, still run by volunteers.Sedgley Park is one of the biggest rugby clubs in Greater Manchester, and one of the few where the First XV and the Under 7s share the same clubhouse on the same afternoon.
The club has been at Park Lane since 1955. In that time it has grown from a handful of senior sides into nineteen teams, senior, women, junior and mini, playing out of one ground, coached almost entirely by volunteers, and funded by members and by local businesses who put their names on the boards around the pitch.

1932
Sedgley Park RUFC is founded, playing its early rugby around Prestwich and Sedgley.
1955
The club moves to Park Lane, Whitefield. Still home seventy one years later.
2000s
Back to back promotions take the Tigers into the national leagues.
Today
Nineteen sides, four hundred mini and junior players, and National League 2 North rugby every other Saturday.
