Mark Mapletoft has named the England U19 Men’s 25-player matchday squad to face Japan National High School Team at Iffley Road, Oxford University this Saturday (14:00 GMT kick-off).
“This weekend’s game serves as an avenue for pathway players to develop their skillsets with meaningful gametime on the international circuit, providing valuable minutes to players eligible for selection in the forthcoming Junior World Championship in Georgia.
“Looking back as recently as December and the number of players that have progressed out of the U19 programme to make their mark in an U20 shirt will be enough motivation for another exciting crop of players eager to learn to excel, perform and win for England.”
